Everlast Gyms

The core of the site is the gym finder, and there's a lot to list. Everlast has dozens of clubs spread across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and now Dublin, and that list keeps changing as new sites open. We didn't want the team ringing us every time a gym opened or its details changed.

So we built the site on Gatsby and pulled all the gym content from Storyblok, a headless content management system. That means Everlast's own team can add a new club, update opening details or change a page through Storyblok, and the site reflects it without a developer touching the code. Gatsby builds fast, well-structured pages from that content for every location, which matters both for the person searching on their phone and for how the site performs in search results.

Finding a gym is the start. From there, people want to know what's on and how to join. We connected the site's class timetables to a third-party system so members can see up-to-date group training schedules without Everlast having to maintain them by hand.

The site also handles the commercial side directly. Prospective members can join online, existing members can log in to manage their account, and visitors can buy a day pass to try a club before committing. Each of these touches a different system, so the work was in making them feel like one straightforward journey on top of the Gatsby front end. The result is a site where someone can go from searching for their nearest gym to booking their first session in a few steps.
